Coastal House is a home devoted to addressing the needs of seniors ages 60 and over. Individuals are treated like family and can live longer than expected due to the detailed attention that is given to each resident. Coastal House promotes self-advocacy through integration of the resident’s self-interest, cultural heritage and capabilities. Coastal House goals are to enhance self-esteem through participation in activities, to encourage independence, to maintain mental, physical and emotional stability through constant observation and supervision.
Coastal House is licensed to house 6 residents. There are both private and shared bedrooms. Basic services provided are: Awake staff 24-hour care. Housekeeping, laundry, changing bed linen. Dispensing of drugs and medications. Management of physician appointments and pharmacy orders, upon request. Three nutritious meals a day with snacks and refreshments are available throughout the day. Special foods, diabetic, low sodium or low purine diets are prepared upon request and if prescribed by a physician. Social and recreational activities such as card and table games, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor exercises, movies, and live entertainment. We celebrate birthdays and holidays. Each room will be beautifully decorated and beds will be provided with pillows and linen. Each resident will be provided with Hygiene items. Central air conditioning and heating will keep the residents comfortable all year long. Cable TV, Internet and phone will be available for the resident's convenience. Utilities. For the resident's safety smoke alarms, night lights, bathroom safety rails and seats, bells and buzzers are provided. ADL Assistance of Daily Living i.e. dressing, eating, toileting, bathing, grooming, mobility tasks. Observation and daily progress reports of changes in physical, mental, emotional, and social functioning. Administrators and staff will be providing constant communication to resident's family, physician, and other appropriate person/agency of resident’s needs and care. Bedside care and tray service for minor temporary illnesses or recovery from surgery.
Resident’s with the following health conditions are accepted: Hospice, Alzheimers, Dementia, Mild-Cognitive Impairment, heart conditions, parkinsons, diabetes, fall risk, wheelchair bound, bedridden, feeding tube, catheters, incontinent, oxygen assistant, and more.
